The useful display features a weather and information center, calendar, alarm clock, recipe finder and digital photo storage. Samsung offers a fridge with an LCD screen called the ICE (interactive control entertainment) pad. It functions as a TV, and allows voice recorded messages and hand-written messages. You can also inventory fridge contents and set reminders when products expire.
Remote Programming Ovens
Display screens are included to offer cooking tips. TMIO Connect takes cell phone calls so that you can view the oven’s controls and settings. This oven even has built in refrigeration so that your food stays fresh until you remotely give cooking instructions.
Induction Stoves
The latest in energy-saving cooking. It’s ideal for a family with small children because the stovetop stays cool to the touch. Although the technology has been around for some time, it’s only just become readily available for consumer cooking. Advantages for induction cooking:
- Instant adjustment
- Excellent precision
- No wasted heat resulting in cooler kitchens and cool stovetop
- Safe because the stovetop stays cool to the touch, and because it’s electric powered, there’s no risk of gas leaks or a pilot blowing out
- Easy to install and is thin, taking less space below the cook top
- Clean
Disadvantages for induction cooking:
- Special cooking vessels required
- Power outages
- No chars
- Some noise from the fans and sometimes a buzzing can be heard from the cooking vessels
All-In-One Blender, Mixer and Food Processor
Thermomix is a German engineered, French-manufactured blender, multi-mixer, food processor, chopper, cooker, steamer and ice grinder combined into one. It mills, grinds, pulverizes, grates, kneads, minces, cuts, chops, prepares, cooks, steams, whips and crushes. And it’s not a huge bulky unit.
